Restore Receding Gums with the NEW Chao Pinhole Gum Lift Technique™
Our practice is licensed to provide patients with the Chao Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation™ for obvious or excessive gum recession. Also referred to as a Lunchtime Gum Lift®, this is a surgery-free, minimally invasive procedure. It is an alternative to gum grafting with less pain and healing time involved.
There is no cutting with a scalpel. Instead, several small pinholes are placed above the gumline. With special instruments, the gum tissue is loosened and guided to cover any exposed root surfaces of teeth. Tiny strips of collagen are inserted through the pinholes to plump up the tissue and hold it in place in the new position. There are NO incisions, NO sutures and minimal discomfort or swelling.
