Dental Mouthguards

Prevent Tooth Knock-Outs
Our patients who participate in sports need protection from trauma to their mouth and teeth. A custom-made mouthguard will help to prevent tooth damage by reducing the impact of injury to keep your teeth intact. The one-size mouthguards sold in stores do not fit or give you the protection you need. They can even impede your breathing and affect your performance.

Approximately 5 million teeth are knocked out during athletic participation. This is in one year in just the United States! The American Dental Association recommends wearing custom mouthguards for the following sports:

Acrobatics, basketball, boxing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, handball, ice hockey, lacrosse, martial arts, racquetball, roller hockey, rugby, shotputting, skateboarding, skiing, skydiving, soccer, squash, surfing, volleyball, water polo, weight lifting, and wrestling.
