Children's Dental Sealants

An Easy Way to Prevent Children’s Cavities
Sometimes even the most careful brushing will miss areas in the back teeth. The contours and grooves of teeth are the most susceptible spots. When bacteria and acid linger, plaque will form and eventually cause decay. Even the smallest cavity is permanent damage to a tooth and will need a filling.

There is a treatment that can lessen the chance of all this happening. It is a quick and easy treatment with a dental sealant. Here is the whole process:

  • Teeth are thoroughly cleaned and then sterilized.
  • One thin coating of the sealant is applied to the surface of rear teeth. This is clear or white and not visible.
  • The dentist bonds the coating to the teeth with a curing light.
  • And the treatment is completed in just a few minutes!
There are no shots or drilling. This is a safe and very effective method of preserving children’s and adolescents’ teeth for a lifetime.
